Baptisms
For young children, a service of baptism celebrates the beginning of their journey with God. It is an opportunity for parents to commit before God and the church congregation, to bring up their children within the Christian faith. The Christening is the part of the service where the child is given their Christian name. For parents who do not feel they want to make the commitments involved in a baptism, a service of thanksgiving may be more appropriate. Whether baptism or thanksgiving, it will be included within a normal Sunday morning service so that the whole congregation can join the celebration.

People of any age can be baptised providing they were not baptised as a child. Adults who were baptised as children and have returned to the Christian faith later in life may like to renew their baptismal vows.

Weddings
Anyone who lives in the parish or is on the electoral role can marry in that church. In addition, this also now applies to anyone who can show that the church has a special significance (under Church of England law). For more information about the criteria for the latter, click here.

All enquires should be made through the Church Office 361239.
